The case was so severe that it is believed that the 12 year old boy was found lying on his bed with blood everywhere and even the sheets of the bed were just covered with the color red.

Daniel and Gabriel were playing Tibia, an online game, where Gabriel requested around 20,000 coins in the game as a loan and promised that he would pay the 16-year-old right away, however when that did not happen, the boy decided to beat the 12 year old so much and started to make threats.
Daniel Petry kept on calling her mother in order to know when she would come back so he could pay back the 16 year old, but she was not picking up the calls and the 16 year old did not allow him to call anyone else.
The boy returned back to his house and Daniel Kuhn went after him with the hopes of getting the money back but when he found out that he did not have the money with him, he barged right into the house and started to beat up the 12 year old boy.
At one point, the 16 year old beat up the 12 year old boy so much that the entire bed sheet that he was lying on turned red. After doing that, he raped the 12 year old boy before realisign what he had done.
While he was standing over the body of the 12 year old boy, he was giggling and when the boy told him that he would be reporting everything to his parents, he decided to kill the boy with a threat, which he used to slice through the neck of Gabriel Kuhn.
