“Experience the epitome of style at our trunk show in collaboration with Fashion by Rohini,” announced Aza on Facebook. “Indulge in opulent, festive, and avant-garde designs curated by over 25 leading designers.”

The shopping fair is designed to connect non-resident Indian shoppers with India-based labels and enable them to purchase designs which are not widely available in the US. The event is also designed to help Indian labels to begin to establish a customer base in the country. The event focuses on traditional and bridal wear for both men and women.

Alka Nishar launched Aza as a multi-brand boutique in 2005, according to the retailer’s website. Meaning ‘desire’ in Sanskrit, Aza today retails a selection of over 1,000 brands including Gopi Vaid, Anita Dongre, Varun Bahl, Paulmi & Harsh, Karaj Jaipur, Naaz by Noor, Anamika Khanna, and Kalista among others. The business runs seven stores spread across Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi along with its e-commerce store.
