Kim Kardashian announces Skkn by Kim Makeup

Kim Kardashian is getting back into makeup. 

The TV star and entrepreneur took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce the launch of Skkn by Kim Makeup, described as a line “where skin-loving formulas meet high-performance glam.”

The collection will launch with the Soft Matte Lip Color, a collection of 10 full-coverage velvety matte lipsticks; a Lip Liner, including 15 long-wear matte lip pencils; and a Classic Mattes Eyeshadow Palette featuring 12 warm and cool nude shadows in silky matte finishes.

Kardashian explained on Instagram “I’ve recently been taking a skin-first approach towards my beauty routine. In developing @Skkn By Kim Makeup, my goal was not only to create universally-flattering cosmetic essentials, but also to ensure that our products are clean, hydrating, and help improve the look and feel of skin with every wear.” 

After having delved into a variety of cosmetics and perfume offerings, Kardashian shifted her focus exclusively to skincare after the launch of her premium skincare line, Skkn by Kim, in June 2022. 

This marked a departure from her previous ventures, as she decided to close down her cosmetics line, KKW Beauty, in August 2021, followed by the discontinuation of her fragrance line, KKW Fragrance, in April 2022.

The new launch marks her return to the beauty category and is scheduled for January 26 at 9 a.m. PST. Beauty enthusiasts are invited to join the waitlist online for exclusive access to the collection and to be the first in line.
