Road rage shooting in Larimer County leads to fiery crash, sheriff says

An apparent road rage shooting in Larimer County caused a vehicle to crash and sparked a fire that engulfed a responding ambulance.
The incident happened on U.S. Hwy. 287 at Owl Canyon Road, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect in the vehicle from which shots were reportedly fired fled the scene.
Six people in the vehicle that crashed and caught fire were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter at 6:34 p.m. None of the victims were hit by gunfire. The fire has been extinguished.
“Investigators are still collecting witness information and processing the scene for evidence,” the sheriff’s office said.
