A fashion industry veteran, Mille brings a wealth of design and leadership experience to the U.S. fashion firm, having held key positions at fellow U.S. fashion firms PVH and Ralph Lauren, among others, where he led creative teams and contributed to the development of collections.

“Michael’s passion for design and his ability to capture the essence of modern style align perfectly with the values and vision of Perry Ellis International,” said Oscar Feldenkreis, CEO and president, Perry Ellis International.

“We are confident that his unique perspective will elevate both brands and resonate with a diverse audience.”

In the last twelve months, Perry Ellis International has inked several new distribution deals for its roster of fashion brands including Perry Ellis, Original Penguin and Farah, as it looks to expand into new categories.

In September, the company announced a series of new licensing agreements for men’s brand Farah, including a new licensing agreement with Poetic Brands Limited for kid’s line Farah Youth; a new partnership with Baird Group for the European license of Farah Tailoring; as well as a fragrance deal with the Farah brand with Fragrance Group London.

More recently, the company in October inked a new licensing deal with Peerless Clothing International for its Perry Ellis and Original Penguin brands, to enter into the tailoring category for the respective brands.

“I am honored to represent two iconic American brands with such rich heritage by setting trends and pushing boundaries,” said Miille, about his new role.

“I look forward to collaborating with the talented teams and contributing to the brands continued success.”
