Pedestrian hit by motorist on Sheridan Boulevard in Arvada dies

A pedestrian hit by a motorist on Sheridan Boulevard in Arvada has died, police said.
The incident happened in the 6400 block of Sheridan, the Arvada Police Department said in a 6:32 a.m. Saturday tweet.
The driver remained on scene. An investigation is ongoing. The pedestrian will be identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office after family has been notified.
Sheridan was closed between 64th and 65th avenues by the incident, the stretch reopened about 9:30 a.m., according to police.
