Kewal Kiran Clothing advances talks to acquire Kraus Jeans

Kewal Kiran Clothing Limited is in advanced talks to acquire women’s western wear and denim brand Kraus Jeans. Such a move would bolster the business’ women’s product offering and tap into the growing demand for denim in India.

“The talks are in advance stages,” an anonymous source close to the matter told India Retailing, noting that nothing has yet been signed. “Kraus Jeans sells for women and it fits into Kewal Kiran’s portfolio by filling the gap for a women-focused brand.
 
Kraus Jeans retails a wide selection of women’s denim as well as casual, western wear staples such as t-shirts, sweaters, and shirts. The brand retails through a number of exclusive brand outlets in India. In September 2023, Kraus Jeans opened a store in Pune’s SGS Mall to bring its latest collections to the city’s shoppers, the brand announced on Facebook. 

Kraus Jeans also retails its clothing through multi-brand department stores such as Pantaloons, Shoppers Stop, Reliance Trends, and Lifestyle International among others. The brand can be found online on multi-brand e-commerce platforms including Ajio and Myntra.
 
Kewal Kiran Clothing owns a number of denim brands including K-Lounge, Killer, Easies by Killer, Integriti, and Lawman. The business’ brands retail across over 330 brick-and-mortar stores across India as well as on its own website and numerous e-commerce platforms.
