July Wear raises Rs 2 crore to boost womenswear operations

Women’s apparel brand July Wear has raised Rs 2 crore through the India Angel Fund. The brand plans to use the funds to boost its direct to customer operations and open an experience centre to expand offline.

July Wear plans to open an experience centre store in South Mumbai to increase brand visibility and forge connections within the industry. The business will use part of its recent funding injection to set this up, Apparel Resources reported. 
 
The brand also plans to expand its international customer base and launch an exclusive collection for the Middle East market, beginning with Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The region counts a high number of non-resident Indians and also is a fast-growing destination for fashion and beauty brands. The label has also set a target of achieving a monthly recurring revenue of Rs 100 crore in the coming 18 months. 

July Wear creates colourful women’s western wear with fusion wear touches. The brand specialises in ‘comfort wear’ with for women of all ages, according to its Facebook page. The brand uses a mix of traditional Indian and modern textiles and has released a collection of loungewear made from Ikat in soft hues. 
 
Entrepreneur Neha Bajaj launched July Wear after gaining experience at a manufacturing unit in Tirupur in the state of Tamil Nadu. Bajaj aims to fill a perceived gap in the market for style driven comfort wear and July Wear also infused its garments with natural scents.
