Electronic Arts unveiled its ratings for the upcoming Madden NFL 24 game. Here’s a look at how the Broncos stack up.

The stars

Denver has two players who received overall ratings of at least 90 — cornerback Pat Surtain II (94) and safety Justin Simmons (92). Surtain, who received his first All-Pro first-team selection last season, climbed double-digits from last year’s initial rating of 83 and overtakes Simmons for the highest rating on the team. He is ranked No. 3 among cornerbacks in the game, behind Miami’s Jalen Ramsey (97) and Green Bay’s Jaire Alexander (95).

It’s the third straight season in which Simmons opens with an overall score of at least 90. He is tied for second among free safeties in the game with Tennessee’s Kevin Byard (92) and behind Pittsburgh’s Minkah FitzPatrick (93).

On the offensive side, wide receiver Jerry Jeudy comes in with the highest rating at 83. After a below-average season, quarterback Russell Wilson drops to a 77, down 10 points from his initial rating for Madden NFL 23.

Oklahoma receiver Marvin Mims Jr. was Denver’s highest selection in the 2023 draft, coming in the second round with the 63rd overall pick. He received an overall rating of 74, ranking him fifth among the Broncos receivers. Here’s a look at the team’s other draft picks:
