Rug and luxury textile brand Cocoon Fine Rugs has opened its second store to date in the Bengaluru metro area to connect with more shoppers in South India. The boutique measures 2,000 square feet and is located on New Airport Road in Meenanukunte Village in Jala Hobli.
Cocoon Fine Rugs aims to mix South Indian heritage design with modern style for its new address in Bengaluru, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. The business uses luxury rugs as a vessel for its textile art and takes its inspiration from the global travels of its founders.
Along with Bengaluru, Cocoon Fine Rugs runs brick-and-mortar outlets in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, and New Delhi, according to its Facebook page. The business also recently opened a new store in New Delhi’s Mehrauli neighbourhood measuring 1,500 square feet and designed by Raahul Kukreja.
The store houses a number of textile art installations. “Rugs made with pure hand-spun silk and New Zealand wool, love still remains to be the most important ingredient,” wrote the brand on Facebook about its offerings in the metro.
Cocoon Fine Rugs was launched by entrepreneurs Ayush and Smriti and is based in Mumbai, according to its website. The brand has collaborated with a range of Indian fashion designers including Falguni Shane Peacock and JJ Valaya among others.
