Amazon India launches ‘Swachhata Store’ to support clean India mission

E-commerce major Amazon India has launched the ‘Swachhata Store’ to support the Government of India’s Swachh Bharat Mission’ (Clean India).
Amazon through its ‘Swachhata Store’ will offer deals on more than 20,000 cleaning products from Indian sellers, small medium enterprises, and manufacturers.
Commenting on the initiative, Manish Tiwary, vice president consumer business at Amazon India in a statement said, “It is an honour to support the Government’s vision of Clean India. The launch of Amazon’s ‘Swachhata Store’ will help strengthen our 4S commitment to cleanliness that includes ‘seamless smart cleaning’, ‘sanitation for everyone’, ‘strongly committed to cleanliness’, and ‘safeguard the environment.”
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, minister of jal shakti, government of India added. “Amazon’s ‘Swachhata Store’ will be instrumental towards our drive for achieving a healthier, cleaner, and more prosperous nation. We believe in the strength of collective efforts and shared commitment for ensuring a brighter future for the environment.”
Amazon has been launching several initiatives in India with the aim to transition one million local offline retailers and neighbourhood stores to online platforms by 2025.
