Madhya Pradesh gets go ahead for PM MITRA Park project
Madhya Pradesh has received official approval to develop a PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Park in the state’s Dhar district. Designed to boost Madhya Pradesh’s economy and create employment opportunities, the PM MITRA Park project is valued at Rs 2,100 crore and will be India’s first integrated textile park of its kind.

The state’s upcoming PM MITRA Park has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Textiles, announced Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister Mohan Yadav, Apparel Resources India reported. Yadav stated that the initiative will enhance India’s textile industry globally while reshaping Madhya Pradesh’s economic landscape. Spread across 2,100 acres, the PM MITRA Park aims to create significant employment and investment opportunities within the state.
The park will feature plug-and-play Built-To-Suit units, a 20 MLD Zero Liquid Discharge plant, a solar-powered energy facility, and dedicated housing complexes for workers. All construction work is scheduled for completion within the coming 14 months. Applications for land allotment within the park will open shortly, announced Yadav.
The project has already attracted interest from the industrial sector, with investment proposals worth Rs 10,000 crore submitted. Yadav emphasised that the park will play a major role in revitalising Madhya Pradesh’s textile sector and generating employment for thousands of people. Located in Bhainsola village in Dhar district, the PM MITRA Park will benefit from proximity to key infrastructure links, including the Delhi-Mumbai Motorway, Indore, Pithampur industrial cluster, and Hazira port.
