“We’ve incorporated robust features to provide a secure and rewarding experience for our users,” said FNP’s AVP for business intelligence Rajat Khatri, India Retailing reported. “The FNP app installation base has grown 30% since last year and it is pertinent to provide an enhanced experience to the users. Based on search and browsing behaviour, it becomes easier to recommend products based on categories, budget and preferences of the customer.”

Shopping apps are popular with shoppers on the go or who do not posses a tablet or computer, as is common in much of non-metro India. By boosting its app, the business will be able to better connect with diverse customer demographics across the country.

FNP was established as Ferns N Petals in 1994 as a flower and gift delivery service, according to the business’ website. From a single flower shop in New Delhi, FNP has expanded into a pan-India chain with more than 320 stores located across the country and a direct to customer e-commerce store.

The business has expanded internationally into the UAE, Singapore, and Qatar and the Ferns N Petals Group today encompasses ‘FNP Retail & Franchising’, ‘FNP E-commerce- India, UAE, Singapore & Qatar’, ‘FNP Weddings & Events’, ‘Floral Touch- India & UAE’, ‘FNP Gardens’, ‘Handicrafts’, ‘The Flagship Store by FNP’, ‘WDH (Wedding Design Hub)’, ‘FNP Cakes ‘N’ More’, and ‘FNP Media’.
