Croma names Shibashish Roy as CEO and managing director
Tata Group-owned consumer electronics retail chain Croma has appointed Shibashish Roy as its chief executive officer and managing director, effective from April 1 as the business focuses on profitability and increasing its market share in numerous categories.

“Shibashish has been transitioning into the role of CEO and MD over the past five months, following the succession plan announced late last year,” said Infiniti Retail Limited’s chairman Naveen Tahilyani, the Press Trust of India reported. “I am certain Shibashish’s digital-first approach and passion for customer engagement will drive Croma to great heights and look forward to working with him.”
Roy was named as CEO of the business in November 2024 and worked alongside outgoing managing director Avijit Mitra during a transition period that concluded in March 2025, Croma said in a statement, India Retailing reported. With over 20 years of experience in Tata Group companies, Roy has played a key role in expanding Croma’s market presence and strengthening its customer service approach across various sales channels, according to the business.
Croma is operated by Infiniti Retail Limited, which runs one of India’s largest organised consumer durables and electronics chains. The business has identified increasing its market share in key markets and improving profitability as its priorities for the 2026 financial year, according to its statement.
