
Cool, sunny day with light breezes, no rain
Metro Denver residents face dry conditions under sunny blue skies Monday with below-average temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.
Heat will intensify later this week with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees in Denver and approaching 100 degrees on Colorado’s eastern plains, weather service forecasters said.
The high temperature in Denver on Monday will be 80 degrees, decreasing to 55 degrees at night, forecasters said. On Tuesday, the high is expected to be 91 degrees. Light wind likely will blow through Denver at speeds mostly less than 9 miles per hour, forecasters said.

No significant rain was expected across metro Denver until later this week. In southern Colorado, forecasters anticipated scattered storms and possible brief torrential rain Monday around the Sangre de Cristo mountains.
