Charles Tyrwhitt makes India debut, opens store in Ahmedabad

Men’s formal and casual wear brand from the UK Charles Tyrwhitt has opened its first ever brick-and-mortar store in India in Ahmedabad’s Palladium Mall. The premium brand has launched in the country in partnership with Reliance Brands Limited. 

“Charles Tyrwhitt’s magic arrives at Palladium Ahmedabad,” announced the mall on Facebook on January 24. “Turn your carts for the first ever store opening in India.”
 
Palladium Mall describes itself as Gujarat’s luxury shopping mall and houses a range of premium labels from India and abroad. The mall heralded Charles Tyrwhitt’s launch with a CGI video featuring a branded hot air balloon floating out of the mall. 

Charles Tyrwhitt has a classic, British aesthetic with a muted colour palette, clean tailoring, and a selection of clothing which is designed for the office to leisure time. By launching in India, the brand aims to tap into the growing demand for branded premium clothing in India. 
 
Nicholas Charles Tyrwhitt Wheeler founded Charles Tyrwhitt in the UK in 1986. The brand describes itself as the “UK’s largest purveyor of fine shirts” on its Facebook page and makes each one of its shirts out of 100% cotton with twin-needle stitching.along with the UK and India, Charles Tyrwhitt also retails in the US and France.
