Bagline eyes Rs 1,000 crore revenue in two years
Multi-brand travel gear and fashion accessories retailer Bagline is targeting Rs 1,000 crore in revenue within the next two years. The Indore-based company, a subsidiary of Brand Concepts Limited, aims to achieve this growth through brand expansion, an increased retail presence, and manufacturing investments.

“Now, the focus is on scaling up- expanding from Rs 500 crore to Rs 1,000 crore and then to Rs 2,000 crore,” Brand Concepts Limited’s CEO and co-founder Abhinav Kumar told India Retailing in an interview. “To support this growth, we are strengthening our infrastructure, enhancing resources, improving manpower, refining processes, and upgrading facilities.”
The business is also focusing on broadening its brand portfolio to boost revenue. Just this week, Bagline introduced Juicy Couture to the Indian market and plans to open numerous standalone stores for the brand. Locations where Bagline sees a significant potential for general growth include Tier 3 cities and southern India.
The company currently operates 48 stores across 29 Indian cities, including 43 Bagline outlets and five Tommy Hilfiger stores. Bagline plans to scale up to 100 locations over the next two years, with a mix of mono-brand stores and expanded Bagline formats. The business is also focusing on opening larger scale stores, measuring between 1,000 and 1,500 square feet with a consideration for a 2,500 square foot pilot project, according to Kumar.
To support its expansion, the company is integrating its first in-house backpack manufacturing unit and setting up a hard luggage manufacturing facility in Indore, expected to be fully operational by April. The strategic investments are designed to strengthen Bagline’s supply chain and support its long-term growth plans.
