Reliance Retail’s ethnic wear brand Avantra by Trends has opened a new brick-and-mortar outlet in Mumbai. Located in the metro’s Phoenix Marketcity Mall, the new launch brings the brand’s pan-India store total to 71.
“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our newest store at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla,” announced Avantra by Trends’ head of business development Sudhir Dnyanval in a post on Linkedin. “Bringing you an exquisite array of sarees, designer lehengas, and diverse ethnic wear – it’s a haven for traditional connoisseurs.”
The store has a segment dedicated to bridal wear and launched with a collection for the spring wedding season. Shoppers can also browse products including kurta sets, lehengas, sarees, and blouses as well as accessories and jewellery among others.
Avantra by Trends also recently held a saree draping workshop with celebrity saree stylist Dolly Jain at its store in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar, the brand announced on Facebook. The event promoted sarees as comfortable clothing options and explored versatile ways to drape them.
“With her quintessential charm she gave us insights into the world of saree draping, her journey into an unconventional field and the myths and nuances around the act of draping itself,” wrote Avantra on Facebook. “She talked at length about her innovative line of petticoats – I Am by Dolly Jain and the range of Avantra Sarees while also busting any misconceptions that a saree limits the mobility of a woman in any way.”
