
Violent night in Denver has DPD responding to three shootings, one stabbing
Denver police are coming off a violent night in the city, responding to a stabbing and three shootings — one of which was fatal — Thursday night and early Friday morning.
The first incident was reported shortly after 7 p.m. on Thursday, with an investigation of a stabbing in the 2200 block of Lawrence Street. One person was transported to the hospital but no further information is available about the extent of injuries. No arrest has been made in the incident.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday, Denver police posted on Twitter about a shooting at East Colfax Avenue and Yosemite Street, from which a person transported themselves to the hospital.
That was followed an hour later by reports of a shooting at East Dakota Avenue and Broadway. Police said a victim was located and transported to a hospital. Broadway was shut down at Alameda Avenue.

No additional information was provided about either victim or suspects in the shootings.
Lastly, at 6 a.m. Friday, Denver police were investigating a shooting in the 1800 block of South Sheridan Boulevard. Authorities later announced that the person who was shot died. The incident is being investigated as a homicide and police are asking people to call 720-913-7867 with any information.
The violence Thursday and Friday follows a fatal shooting early Wednesday morning near the 2200 block of Welton Street. A person in that incident was taken to a hospital and died later Wednesday morning, police said.
