Reliance Retail opens 51st India Gap store in Surat

Reliance Retail has opened its 51st Gap store in India, located at Avadh Kontina on VIP Road in Surat. The launch marks another milestone in Reliance Retail’s partnership with the US apparel brand, which began in 2022, and expands Gap’s reach in India’s fashion market.

The new store offers a selection of modern essentials, including denim, khakis, and logo apparel for men, women, and children, announced the business in a press release. It also introduces a tech-enabled shopping experience with the ‘Endless Aisle’ feature, enabling customers to browse and order an extended range of products beyond what is available in-store.

Surat’s new Gap store is part of Reliance Retail’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the fashion and lifestyle segment. The retailer operates an extensive omni-channel network and caters to a wide customer base across digital and brick-and-mortar retail, with both Indian and international brands in its portfolio. 

Gap, founded in San Francisco in 1969, is known for its casual American style and diverse product offerings, including GapKids, BabyGap, and its activewear collections. The brand continues to expand its footprint in India, catering to growing demand for international, casual fashion.
