Bodice works with Bemberg for new sustainable collection
Bodice has collaborated with Bemberg for its latest collection, integrating the 100% regenerative fibre into its designs. Creating biodegradable garments, Bodice aims to blend eco-responsibility with fusion style tailoring.

“This collection feels deeply personal,” Bodice’s founder Ruchika Sachdeva told Elle India. “I have been reflecting on my journey- not just as a designer, but as a person navigating change, growth, and the evolving concept of identity.”
A key material in Bodice’s new collection is Bemberg, known for its biodegradable and soft-draping properties. “I was drawn to Bemberg for its integrity- it is biodegradable, dyes beautifully, and has this subtle sheen that aligns with our aesthetic,” said Sachdeva, who also visited the facilities in Japan to understand the production process. “Sustainability is about looking at materials holistically- not just their environmental impact, but also how they feel, how long they last, and the emotions they evoke.”
The collection’s silhouettes merge draping with structured tailoring, reflecting the evolving nature of identity. Block printed fabrics and pleats are used to explore themes of transformation and duality in an understated, wearable way. Sachdeva plans to continue to focus on sustainable production for future collections. The label was established in May, 2011 and retails from a range of multi-brand premium fashion boutiques as well as its direct to customer e-commerce store.
