Luxury handbag label Ahikoza has partnered with Brahm Group, with the lifestyle conglomerate acquiring a majority stake in the brand. “I have always loved accessories, in particular handbags,” said Namrata Karad, founder of Ahikoza, in a press release. “In the world of luxury, I found a gap in the market. Women were mostly adorning the same established brands. This inspired and began the long journey of building my own label. I believe that, like the power brands that inspired me, Ahikoza will offer something unique and of value.”

Karad’s return to India is positioned as part of the brand’s broader global expansion, tapping into rising demand across markets such as the US, Europe, and India. With the global luxury handbag market projected to reach USD 41.1 billion by 2032, Ahikoza is targeting 15% annual growth.

“At Brham, we believe in fostering brands that resonate with contemporary luxury while staying true to craftsmanship and legacy,” said Brahm Group’s founder Bhavook Tripathi. “Ahikoza’s philosophy aligns seamlessly with our vision, and we are excited to bring their exquisite designs to a discerning audience.”

Founded by Namrata Karad in 2016, Ahikoza has appeared on red carpets at the Oscars, Cannes, and Grammys, carried by international celebrities including Camila Cabello and Doja Cat. Indian actors such as Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan have also been seen with the brand’s signature designs.
