Cloudy weather conditions in the metro Denver area will bring potentially severe afternoon and evening thunderstorms that, to the southeast of the city, could accompany golf-ball-sized hail and damaging winds, according to the National Weather Service.
Another round of thunderstorms today. Strongest storms will be found along & to the south & east of the Palmer Divide where golfball size hail & damaging winds will be possible. For the Urban Corridor, one inch hail, heavy rainfall, & localized flooding will be possible. #cowx pic.twitter.com/wWIOXRKDyl

Scattered thunderstorms are expected before 3 p.m. and after 5 p.m., the National Weather Service forecasted, estimating the likelihood of rain and thunderstorms at 80%. However, following a day of tornado watches Thursday, the NWS said that threat is low.
Forecasters expect storms to develop over the mountains by midday and to move east across Front Range cities this afternoon, hitting the plains through evening, weather forecasters said.
