Dempsey, known for roles in television and film as well as a serious presence in endurance racing, has competed multiple times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In 2015, he placed second in the GTE Am category, completing 331 laps. He was later awarded the “Spirit of Le Mans” in 2019 for his contributions to the sport.

His new role includes contributing creative input to the brand’s eyewear collection, produced in partnership with Thélios, LVMH’s eyewear expert. The partnership launches with a campaign showcasing a visual reference to Tag Heuer’s racing heritage, with Dempsey photographed in a pose echoing a well-known portrait of Jack Heuer.

“Patrick Dempsey’s alignment with Tag Heuer runs deep. He shares the brand’s core values: designed to win, elegance in motion, and the pursuit of excellence with no shortcuts. These can be felt on screen just as much as on the racetrack,” the company said in a statement.

The 2025 eyewear collection includes three distinct lines. The Jack Heuer line, inspired by the 1960s, features pilot frames crafted from Japanese titanium, Chromafade lenses, and vintage design elements that pay homage to the brand’s motorsport heritage. The Mini Vingt-Sept line takes a more technical approach, incorporating bio-nylon temples, elliptical steel hinges, and polarized lenses. Lastly, the Shield Pro line is built for high-performance use, offering sporty mask-style frames with interchangeable lenses and flexible bio-nylon construction, designed for athletes and fast-paced environments.

The announcement marks a new phase in Dempsey’s longstanding association with the Swiss luxury watchmaker, which began in 2014.
