International Cotton Association (ICA) Bremen – the ‘international centre of excellence’ for cotton testing, research, quality training and certification – has completed 10 years. Operating from existing, state of the art laboratory facilities in Bremen, Germany, ICA combines the global reach of the ICA with the quality expertise of Bremer Baumwollboerse and the Bremen Fibre Institute (FIBRE).

Since its launch in 2011, ICA Bremen has grown a loyal customer base for its laboratory testing services, delivered multiple training courses and certified 11 cotton testing laboratories to implement an internationally recognised standard. It is also soon to announce the first panel of ICA Bremen Quality Experts – an initiative to establish a global panel of cotton quality experts, ICA said in a press release.

Speaking on its 10th anniversary, Bill Kingdon, ICA Bremen managing director, said: “ICA Bremen is now widely respected as the centre of excellence for cotton quality testing and training. This reputation is built on a highly successful collaboration between two organisations for the benefit of the cotton industry.  Now we are proud to mark the first ten years of this joint venture, which is going from strength to strength. We look forward to supporting the industry long into the future.”
